Premiere Pro, the Premiere phone app, and Alpha
Premiere Pro is a desktop timeline editor for Windows and Mac: multi-track editing, colour, audio and graphics for anything from a YouTube vlog to a wedding film. Adobe also has a free Premiere app for phones — on iPhone since September 2025 and on Android since September 2026 — with no watermark and exports up to 4K. Both are editors: you still cut every clip yourself.
Alpha is not an editor in that sense. It's a reel maker: a template is a finished edit, and your clips replace the originals.
Premiere Pro price in India
Adobe India lists Premiere Pro at ₹733.96 a month including GST on the annual plan billed monthly, with a 7-day free trial; new subscribers may get a first-year offer (₹389 a month when we checked on 11 Oct 2026). The Premiere phone app is free; generative AI features use paid credits.
In Alpha, free templates cost nothing, premium templates are ₹50–₹120 once, and the plans are ₹119 and ₹249 a month — see pricing.
Templates: Motion Graphics vs reel templates
Premiere's Motion Graphics templates give you titles, lower thirds and animated graphics to drop on your timeline; the edit around them is yours to build. An Alpha template is the whole reel: cuts, beat sync, slow-mo, text and effects, from one of Alpha Siddhant's own reels, with the song credited. Effects that need you cut out of the frame — text behind you in 9 templates, the body outline in 19 — are applied by on-device AI.
Learning curve and hardware
Premiere Pro rewards practice: learning the timeline, colour and audio well takes weeks, and a smooth 4K edit needs a capable computer. Alpha needs a phone or a browser and no editing skills; the trade-off is that you change clips and text, not the edit. “Premiere Pro seekhna mushkil hai?” Not impossible — but you don't need it for a gym reel.
Wedding films vs gym reels
For a sangeet highlight film or a client's wedding edit, Premiere Pro is the right tool. For a transformation reel, a leg-day meme or a quick workout edit, Alpha gets you a finished reel in minutes; Garba, Navratri, birthday and couple templates are still coming.
